The "fast life" is an illustration inspired by an article by Sergio C. Fanjul published in El País. The article elaborates on the future of cooking and kitchens in our houses and a trend towards a busy lifestyle where precooked meals and to-go-food slowly sustitute home-cooked meals leaving the question if our future homes might not have a kitchen at all.

Will we be standing in a supermarket preheating a pre-made meal as part of our busy lifestyle? Or will we return to appreciating the feeling and social aspect that cooking and eating a home-cooked meal together can give us?

For the project, three illustrations were created from which one piece was picked as best suitable for the article. The piece shows a food tray which translates to a floor plan of a flat without a kitchen adding an additional conceptual note for the reader that complements the text.
